The Fire of Power

​

“Wake up, little boy, the Fire of Power is waiting for us.” “I am still so tired, Wisdom… let me sleep a little longer.”

But Wisdom would not yield. “You have slept for far too long. The sun is already high in the sky. Gather your strength and get up. Time may be relative, yet every moment is a gift. The most precious treasure we possess is the here and now. What are you waiting for? Waiting will not carry you forward. It will neither lead you to your throne nor bring you the reward for all your effort, all your time, all your longing for joy and lightness.” The boy knew that Wisdom spoke the truth. So he drew in a breath, gathered himself, and rose. “All right… I am ready.” “Good. It is time.” Wisdom walked ahead, guiding the little boy through the forest and toward a cave. As the two companions stepped inside, the boy heard a gentle crackling and felt a soft warmth brushing against his skin. With every step deeper into the cave, the air grew warmer - almost hot. At last, they reached its deepest chamber. One might have expected darkness there, yet instead, a fire burned in the far corner, bright and alive, full of strength, filling the entire space with its radiant light. “How beautiful,” the little boy whispered, his voice filled with wonder as the warmth touched his skin. His eyes began to glow. Then, all at once, a wave of energy flowed from the fire, spreading through the cave like a living breath - and it began to speak. “Welcome, little boy. I am the Fire of Power. I share with you my wisdom… and my strength.” “I know you,” the boy said softly. “You live within me. You have always been there. You warm me, you encourage me, you never leave my side.” “Yes,” the fire replied, its flames dancing gently. “You have seen clearly. But tell me, do you truly hold the power I give you within your own hands?” The boy hesitated. “I do not fully understand your question. Can you explain?” “That is why you have come,” the fire answered. “With Wisdom by your side, you have found your way to me. I am, like all things, energy. Unconditional love flows through me, endless and eternally. I dwell deep within you. I never fully fade. And yet, when you do not choose love, I begin to weaken. I no longer blaze, I only glow. And in that dimness, your strength begins to fade. Only when I am allowed to burn freely is my power, and with it your power, fully awakened. When I burn, all becomes light. Nothing feels heavy, for my energy flows through you as your inner fire. Do you wish for me to burn?” The boy listened closely. “Then turn inward,” the fire continued. “Listen to the quiet voice within you. It will always answer you, clearly and truthfully: Yes or No. If it says yes, I will rise in flames. If it says no, I will remain but a glowing ember. You believe you lack courage? The courage to follow that voice? To say no, when it is needed? To walk in truth? Trust me, only when I burn do you truly stand within yourself, within all that you are. So let me burn, again and again, in my fullest, brightest light and shining flame.” The little boy gazed into the fire, his heart filled with quiet reverence. And in that moment, he understood. “Thank you, Fire of Power.” Wisdom and the little boy took their leave. Together, they stepped out of the cave and continued their journey through the forest.
